American Commercial Luger Holsters: A.F. Fink

  1. No. Platte, Neb. commercial holster for 3-5/8-inch or 98mm barrel

No. Platte, Neb. commercial holster for 3-5/8-inch or 98mm barrel

An interesting circa 1920s American commercial holster for a 4-inch barrel Luger was made by an obscure Midwest leather maker, A.F. Fink of North Platte, Nebraska. This leather maker may or may not be related to the Fink Leather shop that made holsters for the US military during WWII but there is no information found to verify that. IIRC they were located in Kansas City. The holster is unusual is that it was made to be carried on the left side. This is a classic example of even when a leather maker is identified, in this case A.F. Fink – Maker – No. Platte, Nebraska, it leads to a dead end.
