American Commercial Luger Holsters: S.D. Myres

American Commercial Luger Holsters: S.D. Myres

  1. Mexican hand carved holster for a 3-5/8-inch or 98mm barrel Luger
  2. Pictured is an excellent condition, front and rear view of an S.D. Myers holster with an inserted P08 style commercial Luger. Since none of the S.D. Myres catalogs specifically identify a model or style of holster for a Luger, the only standard is “does it fit”? In this instance, a Luger does fit. Additionally, the holster shows long term storage of a P08 Luger as evidenced by deep impressions of a fluted pattern thumb safety and knurled pattern upper toggle knob edge.

  3. C.C.B. marked, plain leather open top holster for 9mm 4" barrel Luger

Other non-Luger S.D. Myres Holsters in The Collection

  1. S.D. Myres full cover flap fancy Mexican style, swivel type belt loop holster for revolver
  2. In the 1930 S.D. Myres catalog, Tom Threepersons, is referred to as the “big Cherokee peace officer”. For more information on Tom Threepersons, click here.

Tom Threepersons holsters were promoted in a May 14, 1930 Tom Threepersons letter insert in the 1930 catalog with some of his holsters offered as Tom Threepersons holsters on page 4.

Pictured below are two such similar Tom Threepersons S.D. Myres holsters in the collection.

Note: No full cover flap holsters, with or without swivel belt loops are pictured in any of the S.D. Myres featured catalogs.
